Obama to raise cash for Dems at Dallas BBQ dinner on July 9

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama is heading to Texas for a summer barbecue benefiting House Democrats.

Obama and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi will be in Dallas for the fundraiser on July 9. That's according to an invitation obtained by The Associated Press.

The late-afternoon dinner will be at the home of Marc Stanley. He's a Texas attorney and former chairman of the National Jewish Democratic Council. Obama appointed him in 2011 to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum Council.

Tickets start at $10,000 per person and go up to $32,400 for a couple.
