Hundreds march in Grapevine to protest police killing of unarmed man

GRAPEVINE — Hundreds of demonstrators marched in a North Texas suburb on Sunday to protest the fatal police shooting of an unarmed man.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that at least 200 protesters chanted “No justice, no peace” and “Release the video” as they marched down Grapevine’s Main Street.

The demand was for the release of a dashboard camera video of the Feb. 20 shooting of 31-year-old Mexican national Ruben Garcia Villalpando after a brief car chase.

The march was peaceful, and no arrests were reported.
