Its not news that the smirk known as Ted Cruz is running for president. Its all over the news today and will be for about a week but weve all known everything for months. If you were really paying attention, youve known it since at least January 2013 when Cruz stepped into Kay Bailey Hutchisons former Senate office.
Whats the news, that hes getting in before the other candidates? Youll hear a lot about how hes been out of the spotlight while the early coverage flows to Jeb and Scott. In March 2013, spotlight is a concept that exists only in the beltway and in the armchairs of political junkies nationwide. This is about getting money as fast as possible.
Hilariously, his campaign has already made two noticeable blunders. First, they failed to secure TedCruz.com, a site that greets visitors with a simple page saying SUPPORT PRESIDENT OBAMA. IMMIGRATION REFORM NOW!. Thatll be fun for the thousands checking in on the new presidential campaign Internet digs today.
The second is that Ted Cruzs logo looks like a burning American flag. It also looks like a recolored Al Jazeera logo. Classy move all around, Team Cruz! Its hard to blame them, of course. Theyve only known the man is going to run for president for years.

(37,540 posts)Maybe Cruz wants to burn the USA and make Texas the seat of power? Sounds about right. Gonna be fun seeing which Republican candidate hates the USA so much that they get the nomination.

(86,715 posts)also looks like an old natural gas logo from years back... I suspect that since he's married to Wall St. and is the guy in charge of climate change denial and killing scientific inquiry, I think a natural gas logo fits. W had a swoosh that was strikingly similar to the swoosh and star found to be the logo of electricity companies affiliated with ENRON.

2. to smear with any liquid.

He anointed the new high priest.

(112,325 posts)I thought that with as much money as he earns that he should be able a pair of Levi's that doesn't have a hole in that particular location like a poor guy like me has. It is somewhat strange that my Levi's seem to get holes around that spot, but much like my college alma mater TxT has a generous endowment.
