Houston Memorial Hermann manager charged with $10 million fraud

A manager at the Memorial Hermann Hospital System stole almost $10 million from his employer in a false invoicing scheme, federal prosecutors said on Monday.

Kenneth Joseph Wild II, 49, of Katy is scheduled to be in federal court on Monday morning.

Wild used his position as manager of the system's Printing and Mail Services, where prosecutors said he created a ghost account and collected millions of dollars through a false invoicing.

For 14 years, Wild authorized payment for invoices from a company called Digital Designs Limited. Payments were sent to a post office box in Houston. Wild later deposited that money into his personal accounts, prosecutors said.
