Breast cancer patient sues Houston surgeon over topless photos found by her son at birthday party

A woman has sued a Houston plastic surgeon, alleging that, contrary to his assurances, nude photos of her breasts were posted on his website, where her 12-year-old son found them in a Google search at a birthday party.

The woman, a Virginia resident identified only as Jane Doe, filed the suit Wednesday against Dr. Pierre Chevray in Harris County's 157th State District Court.

According to the plaintiff's petition, the woman began treatment for breast cancer in October 2004 at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, where she consulted with Chevray, who worked there at the time. He now has his own practice in Houston.

During the consultation, Chevray showed the woman topless photos of some former patients, who were not identified. He told the woman that he needed topless before-and-after photos of her breasts to create symmetry and ensure the best outcome, the petition stated.

What the hell was he doing posting them on the internet?

Yes, he may need to take photos, but not include the head. That information should remain private or only used in teaching.

Most likely there was no name displayed on the web site but rather the image file name included her name. A web search would pick that up.
