Dan Patrick's transphobic rant on Facebook

HOUSTON MAYOR PARKER
LOSES AGAIN AT THE SUPREME COURT

If you don't know this full story be warned that this is a great lesson of what happens when the left wins. They ignore the Constitution and the people they serve.

Mayor Parker, the first openly gay Mayor of a major city, has tried to push her agenda on the people of Houston on an ordinance that would violate people's religious liberties, create more government interference in business, and go so far as to allow men to use women's bathrooms in the city whether women, including little girls, want the men in there or not.
Pastors spoke out against this ordinance at the time and the Mayor demanded they turn over their sermons on the issue.
My Pastor, Dr Ed Young, of Second Baptist, said he would gladly do it if she would read them.

A citizens group gathered signatures to overturn the ordinance clearly collecting enough signatures needed by law to put the ordinance on the ballot. The Mayor's team rejected them.

The Texas Supreme Court ruled against the Mayor and said the signatures were valid & voters must be allowed to vote on the ordinance this Nov if the city did not repeal the law. The Mayor agreed to a vote but wrote very deceptive language clearly designed to confuse the voters.

Yesterday the Texas Supreme Court ruled the city must correct the language and stated:
"The City Council must comply with its own laws regarding the handling of a referendum petition and any resulting election,” and must “word the proposition such that voters will vote directly for or against the ordinance.”

The Council, under Mayor
Parker’s guidance, approved confusing ballot language that would have forced opponents of the ordinance to vote “yes” to repeal the ordinance, which was in violation of the Houston City Charter.

The behavior of the Mayor is a prime example of what happens when liberals are in charge. They ignore the will of the majority of the people, the rule of law and the courts in their pursuit of their leftist agenda
