A group loosely connected to a global anti-Islam group will be protesting outside the Khursheed Unissa Memorial Community Center to defend old glory this weekend as a counter-protest to the 20th anniversary of the Million Man March.
I saw something about it on the Internet, but I didnt know anything about Amarillo, said Dr. Ali Jaffar, an Amarillo cardiologist who built the center in memory of his mother, Unissa Khursheed.
With more than 15 rallies planned in cities such as Corpus Christi, Atlanta and Phoenix, many of the organizers, including the Amarillo group, are demonstrating against the Oct. 10 Million Man March, themed Justice or Else. Minister Louis Farrakhan of the Nation of Islam is heading the anniversary event in Washington, D.C., at the National Mall.
They plan on removing the American flag from the pole in D.C. and I feel that is an act of war and treason, said a status posted to the Global Rally for Humanity Amarillo Facebook page.

You used the sarcasm tag but I believe many in this country ARE comforted by their bigotry.
Sinclair Lewis was absolutely correct.
