4 debate exchanges that roused Austin Democrats

Austin Democrats gathered once at Scholz Garten to watch presidential nominees Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton spar during the second presidential debate on Sunday.

Here are four moments during the debate that made the crowd at the Austin watering hole gasp or burst into applause.

1. Trump’s defense of his “locker room talk.” During the first moments of the debate, moderator Anderson Cooper pushed Trump to address lewd comments he made in 2005 about assaulting women that were released on Friday.

“You called what you said locker room banter…That is sexual assault,” said Cooper, to the delight of the crowded patio at Scholz Garten. “You bragged that you have sexually assaulted women.”
