New Caney woman's decision to use hand as toilet plunger leads to viral Facebook shaming

Moving into a new home had not been going well for Gracie Henderson of New Caney.

"A water pipe busted in the wall the day I moved in. I got my car stuck in the mud in the front yard. My brand new lawn mower stopped working," Henderson said Friday.

So, when her toilet clogged on April 12 and she didn't have a toilet plunger, Henderson decided to take matters into her own hands. Things went steadily downhill from there.

Luckily, Henderson had her friend Nicole Mullins there to do what any good friend would do - call for help while catching the whole thing on Facebook video.

I've reached partially into the trap to try to free something that dropped in there during a flush and I don't like it, but it was cheaper than a plumber.

Low flow desert toilets absolutely require both a bucket and plunger. If the bucketful of water doesn't work, the plunger will.
