Trump's rhetoric drawing full field of Democrats to congressional race

It’s not unusual for the election of a Republican president to bring a surge of Democrats seeking seats in the midterm elections.

But Texas Democratic Party leaders say the latest outpouring of enthusiasm and often anger-fueled passion spurred by President Donald Trump’s election is unmatched.

“I’ve been recruiting candidates in Texas for years, and I’ve never seen an environment quite like this,” said Cliff Walker, candidate recruitment director for the state Democratic Party.

Walker predicted that for the first time in his political career, every open congressional seat will be filled by a “strong Democratic nominee,” and many will have a Democratic primary.

but this bodes well for all of us. If there is a rainbow after this storm, it will be the Democratic Party coming back strong next year and sending the republicans home. Seeing TX go blue would be a dream come true.

Thanks, TT!

Unfortunately, it was only a few years ago that I lived in one of the red counties where there was not a single Democrat listed for the U. S. House, Texas Senate, Texas House or any of the county offices. I held my nose and voted for a Libertarian in one race to indicate that I didn't support the GOP candidate.

I look forward to voting for Democrats from the top of the ballot to the bottom.

I'm sure that my posts about figure skating and lacrosse in the Sports Group helped me to develop a loyal following. Everything else is bonus content!

I live in a red area of a blue state. We are seeing Democrats running, even in local races, where there is usually no candidate filed.

People are angry. I hope it is not too late.

Victories are the only thing that matter.

And I don't see many victories with the DNC talking about impeachment pipe dreams.
