Texas Democratic Convention starts tonight

After parties; I am hitting seven!!!

If you are attending, visit Texas Democratic Women and Tarrant County Democratic Woman's Club booths. Other clubs will also have booths.

Womens Caucus 9 am tomorrow

Here is a good Democratic friendly bar really close to the Convention Center. It is actually a distillery.

ACRE Distillery
Tony, the owner has been very supportive of the Democratic Women and we love him. Happy Hour on Friday all his mule drinks are half price. Good food. good parking lot in back.

Come In and See Us Anytime
Located at 12th and Calhoun Street in downtown Fort Worth, the Acre Distillery & Coffee House is planted firmly in what was once Fort Worth’s legendary Hell’s Half Acre, an area known for its gambling, alcohol and outlaws. The Acre offers a unique atmosphere that mixes Fort Worth history with a high-end ambiance, featuring a large bar, tasting area and seating with wide views of distillery operations. High speed wi-fi is also available as well as electrical outlets fitted with USB ports for charging laptops, tablets, and phones.

Visit Tony if you aren't going to after parties. He is a great guy. He even had one of those pink knit "pussy" hats embroidered with the corporate logo

Check out Magnolia Street south of downtown too. Chimera has hosted many candidate parties, including Beto in his first visit to Ft Worth. Lots of other great eateries.

Enjoy our vibrant safe downtown. Molly the Trolley circulates until 10:00 pm around all the hotels.

If you stay over, visit our museums, just west of downtown; take 7th street to University Drive and take a left. Free parking too There are 3 fine art museums, National Cowgirl Hall of Fame and Museum, Museum of Science and History. FW Botanic Garden is a short hop South on University and features a lovely Japanese garden (fee) and the rest of the garden is free. Next Door is BRIT which houses the largest collection of botanical samples in the world.

another short hop and you are at the FW zoo consistently a top 5 zoo in the US.

Of course there is always the Stockyards north of town..

Welcome to Fort Worth and maybe I will run into some of you. I will be wearing a great blue Tshirt from Tarrant County Democratic Woman's CLub and a name tag from same.
