I live in the neighborhood where this mess is going to be built.
everyone in my district is against it and we had made it clear at the meetings but no one cared.
this is going to create a traffic nightmare anytime there is a game.
the current plan doesn't have enough parking spaces. the city is relying upon public transportation to fix that.
no, the reality will be that the spill over parking will park in the Domain. I'm not a fan of the Domain either but it's there and adds a boost to the local economy. but the people that live in the Domain, might be marginally excited about the stadium now, but once their parking gets insane during games, their tune will quickly change.
the area where this is getting built is already a traffic nightmare during the holidays, now it will be insane.
what gets me about this BS is that the owners of the formula 1 track had offered to build the stadium for free and then lease it to the city. there is plenty of room and plenty of parking out there.
more over the deal for the team coming from Ohio isn't actually inked yet. they can still back out.
just a massive mess waiting to happen.
