Dallas Democrat Colin Allred unveils first television ad against incumbent GOP Rep. Pete Sessions
Democrat Colin Allred on Monday began a television ad blitz designed to cast him as an independent voice for Congress.
The 30-second spot, titled "My Story," features images of Allred and Judith Allred, the single mother who helped Allred become a NFL player, civil rights lawyer and candidate for the 32nd Congressional District.
"My story isn't about the father who wasn't there," Allred says in the ad. "It's about the mom who was."
In the ad, he says that Congress needs new leadership.
"I'll be an independent voice for North Texas, not a party-line politician," Allred states.
