Colin Allred hits District 32 rival Pete Sessions on health care in new television ad
In a television ad released Tuesday, Colin Allred criticizes incumbent Republican Pete Sessions for voting for a health care plan that would have allowed states to develop health care plans without protections for residents with pre-existing conditions.
In the ad titled "listening," Allred alludes to a March 18, 2017, raucous town hall meeting where Sessions chided the crowd for not listening.
"I don't think that's who were are in North Texas," Allred says about Sessions vote and the town hall. "We deserve somebody who actually listens to us., who is accountable to the people in this district."
But Sessions, the chairman of the House Rules Committee, has said he supports insurance protections for Americans with pre-existing conditions. His campaign spokeswoman, Caroline Boothe, called the Allred ad a "blatant lie."
