Cuellar-Cisneros primary battle gets national spotlight on HBO show

The primary contest between U.S. representative Henry Cuellar and challenger Jessica Cisneros has garnered attention nationally, with the latest bit of buzz coming from HBO news program Vice News Tonight.

The segment profiled Cisneros, the 26-year-old Laredo attorney who recently announced her bid to dethrone long-time incumbent Cuellar in the Democratic primaries.

The six-minute video package also included various scenes shot in Laredo, including a couple of shots of International Bridge Two and the Laredo border crossing.

Cisneros is also seen walking around Laredo neighborhoods, talking to voters and also addressing some of her supporters from a staircase. Cuellar is seen the Rio Grande Valley, including a ribbon cutting at a Palenque Grill restaurant in McAllen and at an event including Catholic Charities RGV.
