Killeen Preacher Charged With Sexual Assault Is Registered Sex Offender
COPPERAS COVE (February 1, 2013)—A Killeen preacher was being held Friday in the Coryell County Jail after his arrest in connection with a June 2012 burglary that resulted in a sexual assault.
George Sabat Brooks, 52, who is listed on the Department of Public Safety website as a registered sex offender, was ordered held on a $250,000 bond, charged with burglary of a habitation-entry with commission of a felony.
An arrest complaint signed by Justice of the Peace Bill Price shows Brooks was identified as a suspect in a burglary and sexual assault that was reported to Copperas Cove police on June 25, 2012.
DNA recovered at the scene of the burglary and sexual assault later was matched to Brooks and a warrant was issued for his arrest, the complaint states.
