New family-run Lorena store features eclectic focus (alternative healthy treats along I-35)
A new shop in Lorena is serving up healthy food and drinks, along with an eclectic inventory of jewelry, natural body care products and childrens items.
Called Enchanted Cedar, the bright and whimsically decorated store opened two weeks ago in a converted house a few blocks off Interstate 35, near Lorenas downtown.
Some residents already are familiar with the family-run business from a booth its operates at the Waco Downtown Farmers Market. But the family hopes the rest of the community will venture in to discover the treats and trinkets it has to offer.
Its hallmark is its raw, organic and vegan snacks. Plans exist to add meal options such as gluten-free waffles, vegetarian tamales and organic soups.
