New family-run Lorena store features eclectic focus (alternative healthy treats along I-35)

A new shop in Lorena is serving up healthy food and drinks, along with an eclectic inventory of jewelry, natural body care products and children’s items.

Called Enchanted Cedar, the bright and whimsically decorated store opened two weeks ago in a converted house a few blocks off Interstate 35, near Lorena’s downtown.

Some residents already are familiar with the family-run business from a booth its operates at the Waco Downtown Farmers Market. But the family hopes the rest of the community will venture in to discover the treats and trinkets it has to offer.

Its hallmark is its raw, organic and vegan snacks. Plans exist to add meal options such as gluten-free waffles, vegetarian tamales and organic soups.

Just west of I-35 and southwest of Bush's Chicken. Good luck to the owners--it's nice to have alternative foods on the Austin-Dallas run.
