Advertisement for "The Silencer Store" hits KLBJ-AM Radio

I live in Austin and just heard this week and ad for The Silencer Store. I can't believe that it is legal. I also can't believe that there is a big enough demand that there could even be a Silencer store. Aren't they illegal? At any rate, I find it to be in extremely poor taste.

Uh...I listen to this station in my car sometimes to keep tabs on ridiculous "conservative/RW loony" talking points both local and national.

on edit:
it's www.SilencerShop.com

They are regulated and taxed ( and rather expensive) devices to reduce muzzle blast (not truly silenced). They are not illegal, and very desireable for hunting as most hunters prefer unmuffled ears in the field in order to hear game, or while dove-hunting to hear the call-outs of other hunters. But thus results in potentially damaging noise levels.

Noise limitation devices are Required in some European countries during big game hunts so as not to disturb other animals and nearby hunters.
These countries often have stricter gun controls than the U.S.

Unlike the nonsense from Hollywood they diminish, not silence the blast.
