Antonio Singleton, 20, remained in McLennan County Jail Sunday on a charge of robbery for failing to pay enough for a sandwich.
Waco Police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said Singleton ordered a sandwich at the Subway at 3350 Bosque Blvd. Saturday evening and only gave the clerk a very small amount of change. The suspect started to leave the store with the sandwich, and the clerk tried to keep him from leaving with it.

Jail officials said Singletons bond is $30,000.

The manager could have let him keep it and wrote it off as spoilage.
