Concerns over Confederate flags at Hanover Tomato Festival
HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The controversy surrounding the Confederate battle flag is causing concern at one of the areas biggest festivals. The Hanover Tomato festival draws 35,000 people and hundreds of vendors.“I’ve been doing it 15 years without any fanfare,” said Grayson Jennings with the Virginia Flaggers.
But this year, the Virginia Flaggers may encounter more pushback than in the past. They will join the Sons of Confederate Veterans” at Saturday’s Hanover Tomato Festival at Pole Green Park ...
