(28,127 posts)He practiced pediatric neurology at Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughters in Norfolk for years. My ADD son was one of his patients. (The kid turned out really well, btw.)
I don't want the gas pipeline but am quite okay with Ralph otherwise.

(17,491 posts)I was born and raised in Tidewater VA, up the peninsula in James City County. I left in '68 for the hill country. Although I supported Perriello, I am fine with him too. I think he will do a fine job.

(17,491 posts)Stewart down by 1/2 a percent. Wow.
I haven't put much thought into who would be best for us to run against. What do you think?

(8,389 posts)eta: I voted for Perriello, but I think Northam will appeal to the people in my area a little more, only because he's a little more down-home folksy.
No matter, I'll work for either candidate.

(3,148 posts)Stweart is crazy enough to challenge the results. He'll go to court and fight to the bitter end like a true Confederate loser. That could delay Gillespie from focusing on our candidate.

(17,491 posts)Also a good fight (long, drawn out, with lots of hard feelings) might also discourage the Rs who voted for the loser from voting in the general.
I'll take whatever advantage we can get.

(3,148 posts)As of 8:38 PM Democratic governors race total is at 416,102 and the Republicans are at 301,596.
Hopefully, we can make nice between our camps to turn out in November.

(8,389 posts)has vowed to support the eventual Democratic winner. I was actually conflicted and changed my mind from Perriello to Northam back to Perriello. I'm happy to help the winner win big in November.

(17,491 posts)Either candidate is fine by me.
I'm going to spend a bit more time on the SBE site looking at other races and at localities.
phylny
(8,389 posts)he and his campaign need to take a good look at places like Nelson, Albermarle/Charlottesville, Amherst, and Danville, among other locations, where Perriello beat him badly to learn how to appeal to those voters. Extracting Dominion Power from his pocket will help.
