Gov. Terry McAuliffe on European trade mission
RICHMOND Gov. Terry McAuliffe left Sunday on a 13-day trade mission to Europe, which will feature stops in France, Austria, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Ireland, Germany, the United Kingdom and Belgium.
The trip is McAuliffes 28th trade and marketing mission during his term as governor, which began in January 2014.
Joining McAuliffe on the trip are state Secretary of Commerce and Trade Todd Haymore, Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry Basil Gooden and representatives of the Virginia Economic Development Partnership, the state Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and the Virginia Tourism Corporation.
Missions like these are a critical component of our efforts to bring new jobs and investment to the commonwealth and to market Virginias world-class products, services and tourist attractions to a global audience, McAuliffe said in a statement.
