A Concert for Charlottesville will be livestreamed beginning at 5:55 p.m. Sunday, organizers announced Wednesday. The free show, organized in the wake of the violent white nationalist Unite the Right rally in August, is expected to pack the University of Virginias Scott Stadium.
The concert, featuring Dave Matthews Band, Pharrell Williams, Justin Timberlake, Ariana Grande, Chris Stapleton, The Roots and others, will be broadcast on HuffPost, Yahoo!, AOL, tumblr and Build, according to its website.
According to the UVa Board of Visitors, more than 177,000 people entered an online lottery for tickets to the show, while thousands more lined up for hours Sept. 15 at John Paul Jones Arena to claim an additional 3,000 tickets. On Saturday, 3,000 more tickets will be available for Charlottesville residents and those with a current University of Virginia ID.
