Extra Officers On Standby as 'Crying Nazi' in Albemarle County Courtroom

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) -
Extra security was on hand Thursday morning as the Radical Agenda radio show host returned to Albemarle General District Court for a hearing.
Additional law enforcement officers were positioned around Charlottesville's Court Square as 36-year-old Christopher Charles Cantwell appeared before a judge Thursday, November 9. The courtroom crowded with supporters and protesters as motions were being heard in the "alt-right" leader's case.
A judge had initially set a bond of $25,000 for the defendant during a court hearing the morning of August 31. However, that bond was denied later in the day after the commonwealth successfully argued Cantwell is a flight risk.
Cantwell had appeared as a tough-talker in a piece for Vice, but was nicknamed the "Crying Nazi" after he posted an emotional video online [video contains profanity] where he expressed concern that police were after him.
