Officials sanitize public transit to prevent rapid spread of virus

KING COUNTY, Wash. — The first coronovirus death in King County is compelling officials to work diligently to keep people safe.

Washington is getting ready to test thousands of people for the virus, if necessary. Plus, there is a plan to make sure people in the community are safe, especially public transit riders who said they may have to adjust their lives.

As news about the first person to die from coronavirus spreads in Seattle, so is the concern about the disease itself.

“It’s scary, really scary,” said bus rider Steven Kelly. “You don’t know how you can get it.”
