Anyone else read the Seattle Times Editorial Sunday, January 8th?

I have the paper, but cannot find the thing online. I felt it is calling for the same actions done by Scott Walker in Wisconsin. Anyone want to discuss it with me I'll share what I see as most egregious by private message.

The Seattle Times website cites contractual reasons for some articles not being online and will not take me back directly to the editorial of that date.

My concern is that these pieces manufacture consent. I have seen them cited by regressives who claim popular opinion justify what they want the legislature to do. They do not listen to the thousands of citizens who have appeared before them to say otherwise.

In the print edition, it was in the upper left corner of the 'A14 News' page.

Not easy, though and it's some kind of aggregator rather than the Times itself. Seems odd to me they won't post their own editorial online.

If this is the editorial you're referring to, I absolutely agree with you.

Not sure this link will work well directly so I'll include google search for it as well:

I had a feeling the links I found through that would only work temporarily.

Still odd that Seattle Times cites copyright reasons for not posting its own editorials online. I could see that for syndicated editorials, but their own ones? Even odder at this point since they now have letters referring to that editorial posted, but not the editorial itself.
