Honest Elections Seattle -City Council Vote 7/13

The City Council has scheduled a hearing on July 13th at 2:00pm in City Hall to vote on placing Honest Elections on this November’s ballot.

Will you be there to let them know how committed Seattle is to building a better democracy where ordinary people matter more than big donors and wealthy corporations.
Last month, we submitted over 33,000 signatures from supporters committed to fighting the influence of big money in Seattle elections. Last week, King County Elections validated those signatures, sending Honest Elections Seattle (Initiative 122) to the Seattle City Council for final approval.

In order for Honest Elections Seattle to reach your ballot this November, we need the City Council to pass a resolution.

Now is the time when our elected representatives need to hear our voices.

Will you join us at the hearing?

Thank you for your support to Fix Democracy First!

but I fully support the effort. IMHO something like this should be written into the US Constitution.
