(1,969 posts)21 Sanders, 5 Clinton in my precinct caucus, so all 3 delegates go to Sanders.
A long way to go yet: legislative district caucus, then county, and then state convention.

(2,550 posts)Checking in from precinct 1348, 43rd district where over 100 citizens selected 7 delegates to the next caucus. Bernie 5, Hillary 2.
We had just talked a Hillarian into switching her vote but was unable to retrieve it before the cutoff. Dang.

Went to my first ever caucus here in Washington state this morning. Almost missed the whole thing, except I called my sister to see why we hadn't gotten our ballots. "No ballots...this is going to be done 'by caucus'", whatever the f... that means? Well, I found out.
I spent a couple hours with probably 1000+ nearby Democratic residents, and we broke into groups by precincts. After we voted by ballots with info included, Bernie ended up with 9 of the 10 delegates from our precinct. Hillary got the tenth. People had an opportunity to persuade anyone willing to listen to change their votes. I didn't disagree with what the HRC supporter had to say, but I have issues with Hillary. She's light years better than the best gop clown that started out in the 17 passenger clown car, but I think Bernie is "the man". His message has been consistent for the past 30 years, and I've listened to him on the Thom Hartmann show for the last 20 years, as he appeared nearly every Friday on "Brunch with Bernie". The guy is 100% genuine. I'm not so sure about HRC.
In the end I was one of nine delegates selected from our precinct, and I'll be going to the Clark County event where we will again caste our votes. I was honored to be selected by my peers.
I've NEVER been politically active, although I felt the desire and need. One time I passed out voting registration cards at a local parade, and you would have thought I was passing out anthrax. People are so damned negative and paranoid about government. Many thought I was a "democratic plant", others were so freaking proud they had NEVER voted in their whole life, etc. It was a real eye opening as to just how screwed our our society is in this country.
So....I'm getting more involved. I'd LOVE to be experienced and legitimate enough to run across our US Rep, herrera buttler...she's a complete gop clown. NO substance. Funny how they are always advocates for what benefits THEM ...alone, and fook the rest of the country. That's pretty much her story.
Well....it was an adventure, and I learned a lot. Onward Bernie! God, I hope this country wakes up and does the smart thing this election. We can't afford a gop disaster, and a HRC administration will be very similar to what Bill accomplished in his two terms: "repuKKKe lite". Don't need that.

(5,264 posts)also in Clark County. It looked like about 500 people there altogether. My precinct went entirely for Bernie. Looked like he cleaned house in the other precincts, as well.

(115,679 posts)It was interesting when the group divided into B-H groups. 1 side was multigenerational, the other has no one under the age of 70.
Our country mtg is in a month, my kid volunteered to be a represrntative to the next caucus where all the communities gather info a county.
