New voters can register in-person through Monday

EVERETT — First-time voters and those new to Washington still can register to vote in the Nov. 8 election through Monday evening.

The Snohomish County Auditor’s Office is offering extended hours for in-person voter registration from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday.

To be eligible to vote in Washington you must be a U.S. citizen, have lived in the state at least 30 days, be at least 18 by Nov. 8 and not disqualified from voting by court order or active supervision for a felony conviction.

Registered voters in Snohomish County were mailed ballots Oct. 20, and the auditor’s office wants a call at 425-388-3444 if problems have arisen.
