A windstorm bearing down on the Puget Sound region has delayed all Sounder north line trains.
Sound Transit said all trains will slow to 40 mph north of Edmonds due to high winds. This is expected to cause 10-minute delays to Everett.
Sound Transit said south corridor trains are operating as scheduled as of about 3:30 p.m.
On Washington State Ferries, meanwhile, captains will consider whether to cancel trips, but had not done so as of about 3:50 p.m.
The Seattle Department of Transportation closed the Seward Park Upper Loop Road ahead of the storm. The city warned residents to stay inside during high winds, stay out of wooded areas and use extreme caution outdoors, particularly around trees.

(2,682 posts)make my dinner and a thermos of tea -- just in case the power is out for a while. I'm in Snohomish County. We used to get a lot of power outages and some lasting for quite a while, but my little town went on a tree-trimming program and the number and duration of power outages is significantly lower. Other areas have had outages when we didn't. But a thermos of tea will be good, whether the power it out or not.
So, batten down the hatches me hardies. It seems it will be a windstorm like we usually get in October. Climate change????
