New Poll Shows a Democrat Beating Dino Rossi in Race to Replace Rep. Reichert

A poll from a national Democratic group shows former King County prosecutor Jason Rittereiser defeating Republican Dino Rossi by three four points in a head-to-head race to replace Congressman Dave Reichert in Washington's 8th Congressional District, according to four people briefed on the results.

Public health doctor Shannon Hader ties Rossi, according to the poll, while pediatrician Kim Schrier loses by five points.

The poll was commissioned by the Nancy Pelosi-affiliated House Majority PAC.

Soruces briefed on its results requested anonymity for fear of being accused of meddling in the primary. One source hasn't donated to any of the campaigns, but the the rest have supported multiple candidates. Three of the sources have given to Rittereiser's campaign, two have donated to Hader's, and one has contributed money to Schrier. All say they will throw their full support behind whichever Democrat wins the primary.

Dino Rossi is a repugnant little toad. Another elitist snob with money who wants to ruin peoples' lives. He has tried many times now to buy a higher political office and failed. Let's hope that his "winning" streak keeps us.

I got called for a poll about them the other day and then I remembered he was the one who was elected as a Dem and then immediately went to the Repugs, throwing the house (I think) to the R's --- so I made it very clear to the pollster how much I hated him. But I'm seeing zillions of his signs along the streets here (in Redmond.)

A: Rodney Tom.
He introduced himself.
I told him I'd voted for him the last time, and then he went over to the Republicans, therefore I will never vote for him ever again. As I was finishing my last sentence he backed down the stairs, said, "OK," and loped away. (He's very tall.)
I had the feeling I wasn't the first person to say something like that to him yesterday afternoon.

I'm pretty sure Pramila Jayapal isn't going to need my contribution, so it may as well help get her a better colleague in the house.

"Dino Rossi's latest benefactor? Mike Pence"

The White House has made its first move in the hotly contested race for Washington's 8th Congressional District, the seat of retiring Republican Rep. Dave Reichert.

The political action committee of Vice President Mike Pence, the Great America Committee, has given $5,400 to Republican hopeful Dino Rossi, who has cleared the GOP field. Rossi has already put more than $1 million in the bank.

The Pence PAC donation shows high priority attached to Washington's open seat.

Dems need to win this one.
