Democrats hold a narrow 50-48 advantage in the state House of Representatives, but their majority will swell over 60 seats if results of Tuesday night's primary are replicated in November. The Dems' 25-24 majority in the State Senate could easily become 29-20.
The Tuesday primary has left state Republicans with more fronts to defend than Germany in the latter stages of World War II.
Gov. Jay Inslee taunted the GOP in a Wednesday Tweet to President Trump. "They need your help: Please come and campaign for them in Washington this fall," said Inslee, who chairs the Democratic Governors Association.
Republicans have three of their four U.S. House seats at jeopardy as well.

(66,478 posts)No one has shown more hubris than Trump, but it might have been ill-advised fo Inslee to taunt him like that. He should wait until after the election, trading taunts for gloating. Gloating, after the fact, I'm cool with.
