Remember folks vote early (and often as Chicagoans are won't to say).

(51,907 posts)Getting a ballot shredded, while of low probability, means you have to trust elections department employees to copy your ballot correctly. They do the best that they can, and are watched by observers, but this is still not optimum.

(8,554 posts)Kitsap County is one that I'm sure of, but if anyone absolutely cannot drop their ballots off at the many boxes provided, then make double sure that your envelope isn't too heavy (more than one ounce) for the normal postage stamp, before mailing.
Found the article that I'd read about postage:

(51,907 posts)Ballots are hitting mailboxes this week, and I wanted to make sure you had all of the resources to make sure your vote is counted. Most importantly, dont forget that your ballot must be postmarked by Tuesday, November 6th.
For questions about replacement ballots or getting help after a deadline has passed, contact your County Elections office.http://www.sos.wa.gov/elections/auditors.aspx
If you have other general questions about voting like finding a drop box location, visit the Office of Secretary of State or call directly at 800-448-4881. http://www.sos.wa.gov/elections/
As Secretary of State, I will always put results over politics. I am deeply committed to expanding voter participation by:
Printing a primary statewide voters' pamphlet,
Allowing Election Day registration,
Pre-registering 16- and 17-year-olds to vote when they get their first drivers' licenses, and
Increasing drop boxes for Election Day voting.
Please pass this message along to other voters you know and feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any questions or concerns at 206-979-5467.
Onward!
