WESTPORT, WA — Washington's Pacific Coast will be open for salmon fishing beginning June 22, according to state wildlife officials. For 2019, the state is raising the quota for coho catches due to an expected larger run.

The season will run until Sept. 30 or until catch quotas are met, whichever comes first. Here are all the details from the state Department of Fish and Wildlife:

2019 catch quotas

Coho: 159,600 fish, up from 117,600 in 2018

Chinook: 26,250 fish, down 1,250 fish from 2018
