Treatment and Diversion plan for prisoners held up by *ONE* state senator...

The plan to give those in prison treatment for their mental illnesses if any, is being held up by just *ONE* state senator.

Just one.

Guess who.

Glenn Grothmann.

He's "concerned" about the prisoners being medicated.

on a panel they had on prisons or prisoners sentencing. I was pleasantly surprised by their acknowledgement of many many abuses such as the need to wipe the term felon off records --treatment needed. prison should be for violent crimes only. It was refreshing. I was thinking that some actual good governing might get done if certain Dems, Reps and yes, in this case, teaparty folks got together and got a good bill passed that would reduce the prison population.
