Today, Public Policy Polling (PPP) released a new set of polls, commissioned by MoveOn.org Political Action, that show a majority of voters in 13 Republican-held House districts support increasing the minimum wage. The polls also show that voters will punish any Democrat or Republican who votes against raising the minimum wage to $10.10 an hour. As part of a National Day of Action in support of a minimum wage increase, MoveOn members are holding a series of events on Tuesday, April 1, targeting vulnerable GOP incumbents in their home districts demanding they support an increase in the minimum wage and delivering petition signatures from constituents..............

(53,475 posts)Sean complains he can't get by on $174,000 a year but begrudges minimum wage to other workers. He's a waste of oxygen.

(34,661 posts)try to regain the 7th. Lots of Joe six-packs in that district and they usually are scared to death to vote for their own betterment. Watch the Krotch Bros. pump a ton of bucks into Duffy's pocket. All the local Rags will be running fake anti company stories and the lie about the loss of jobs if the minimum wage is raised. Same old same old shit just a new day.

(70,299 posts)I fear will get lots of money again this time. Also they really did gerrymander his district for him a few years ago.

(44 posts)It's time Wisconsin's 7th CD is represented by someone who believes that protecting earned benefits and increasing the minimum wage will put money into the pockets of people who will spend it, creating real economic stimulus that just doesnt happen when rich people get more tax cuts
