Foreign policy used to be a Scott Walker weak point. Now it’s a highlight of his stump appeal

COLUMBIA, S.C. -- At the start of Scott Walker's quest to be president, foreign policy has been a source of trouble. The Wisconsin governor has appeared shaky talking about world events and had to explain some perceived blunders.

But as Walker opened his first campaign swing across South Carolina here in Columbia on Thursday, foreign policy emerged as the highlight of his stump speech. Walker's sharp, rat-a-tat critique of President Obama's foreign policy record drew a sustained and boisterous standing ovation from the crowd of 150 Republican activists at a party luncheon.

"It bothers me looking ahead that we’ve got a president right now who draws a line in the sand and allows people to step forward," Walker said. "A president who seems to call ISIS the JV squad, Yemen a success story, Iran a place we can do business with. His former secretary of state [Hillary Rodham] Clinton gave a reset button to Russia -- a reset button!"...............

Scandal type. I know he has been vetted 3 times but maybe a deep vetting is needed. I imagine I am the only one who does Not want Walker as the Republican nominee. He is the most dangerous of them all.

I thought they caught him setting up emails from his official office and sending emails to potential voters.

They just need to keep throwing stuff at him until something sticks. I mean it would all be true so why not overwhelm the campaign and ultimately the voters.

No way Walker knows anything himself based on the London trip. Just another empty suit like W so the neocons can manipulate if he makes it to the White House.

But it's still just talking points that he's piecing together with very little actual understanding or thinking involved. He's been doing it for 25+ years so he's really got the smooth delivery down, like a confident, seasoned, salesman (which is all he really is).

And weren't there reports of a "cram session" on foreign affairs recently? He's just regurgitating what he's been fed by his handlers.
