(21,173 posts)They stole the last two elections from him. Johnson got more votes than chump in the election and the polls had him losing but he needed up winning. The votes were manipulated. That was one of the States the Russians infiltrated.

(18,964 posts)I admire Russ greatly but I don't think it best for the party that he run for Gov...
We should learn about this from what happened with Tom Barrett...Tom is a capable and honest administrator and would have been a great Governor...but he was damaged goods and the Repubs had a picnic dragging out the same old campaign stuff on his second run that they used on the first.
We need somebody new:
Dynamic and energetic
Fearless and articulate
somebody to inspire, lead and capture the imagination of the party.

(2,284 posts)Would really be interested in your choices. Do you remember Shilbelski from several years ago. Very charismatic and interesting speaker but he did something slightly (?) illegal and got pushed out.
He might be a person of interest if he is still interested and hasn't fled the state.

(34,661 posts)Do know the last campaign was corrupted to no end by fake stories and down right bigoted anti Feingold ads.
Bocan seems to be the next Guy to run against Walker or Johnson and in the mean time, you folks have to protect Baldwin next year. And you and I know, the Koch Brothers are coming for bear.

(7,349 posts)He's a very viable candidate, and our/his district is very blue so "inserting another" dem, depending of course, shouldn't be difficult...but then again this state flipped astonishingly soooo, there's that...agree, we do need to rally against the Koch $$ and protect Tammy Baldwin's "spot"...

(34,661 posts)The Rethugs really want him out. Must be nice to have a LaFollet Dem again.

(3,577 posts)But if the redistricting decision stands up and the districts are redrawn in a nonpartisan way before the 2018 election, as the court ordered, the political landscape could look quite different.
