But he knows how to pretend he has! From his email on Friday (which includes a link to the coverage of his controlled CNN town hall that even limited attendance by the media):
Paul works for you thats why he regularly meets with businesses, families, and students across Southern Wisconsin to talk about the issues you care about and what he can do to help solve your problems. At his most recent town hall event in Racine, Paul answered a wide range of questions from constituents. Here are some of his answers about President Trumps strategy in Afghanistan, Foxconns move to Wisconsin, tax reform, and the recent events in Charlottesville.
And then heres the link to his preferred CNN Town Hall coverage: Ryan talks issues with voters during CNN town hall meeting
Its been reported that Speaker Paul Ryan hasnt held any real town halls (in over 600 days) because he doesnt want protestors brought in from other districts he just wants to speak with his own constituents. Well I am sorry to say that he no longer has that luxury. Unlike Rep. James Sensenbrenner or Rep. Gwen Moore who are simply members of the House Rep. Ryan is the Speaker of the House and he now represents ALL Americans in the U.S. House of Representatives. Maybe hes just not up to the task?

(205,393 posts)The RWer who was inexplicably reelected in my district has done much the same thing, doesn't post her schedule until after the fact because she's afraid that protesters will show up. And Paul Ryan is her "mentor."

(205,393 posts)And though it's New York, this is a largely rural district. Of course it's doesn't help that we were redistricted. District 20 - which encompassed more populous counties to the south - elected Kirsten Gillibrand. Now we're part of District 21 which includes the Adirondack North Country. However, her predecessor was a moderate Democrat - who retired.
There have been quite a few protests, which explains why she doesn't publicize her whereabouts, but how can she represent constituents that she persists in avoiding?? My question has been - where were these angry constituents in November?? She had already served 2 years, so they knew what they were getting.

(10,495 posts)Like his unwillingness to impeach an obvious incompetent and criminal leader so he can try and pass his Donor's agenda, Ryan won't have a town hall because it will demonstrate how unpopular his policies are!
