Pence in Milwaukee says national optimism 'soaring' due to Trump's policies, tax overhaul
MILWAUKEE — Vice President Mike Pence says due to the federal tax overhaul and other policies backed by President Trump, optimism is “soaring.”
The former Indiana governor said consumer confidence is now at an all-time high and the unemployment rate is the lowest in 17 years. He said since Trump took office, 3 million new jobs have been added, 36,000 of those in Wisconsin.
“Jobs are coming back, confidence is coming back, and under President Trump, America is coming back, and we’re just getting started,” Pence said at an America First Policies event in Milwaukee this afternoon.
He also praised Gov. Scott Walker, noting the unemployment rate is at lowest level in Wisconsin history and that income and property taxes are lower than when Walker took office.
