We have a chance for snow, in Mid-Michigan, starting on Thursday through (at least) Saturday. Halloween's weather forecast is for a pretty dismal rain/snow mix. I'm heading out to buy a bag of candy, just in case any die-hard trick or treaters show up, but I'm definitely buying candy that I like, just in case they don't.

This isn’t normal by any stretch. My chickens appreciated their warm oatmeal and seeds this morning.

ETA: Husband just came in from the back yard and it’s -3...always colder before the sun comes up. At least I hope we get some sun today,

The snow and cold we have had the last three Falls (last year we had many inches in September in Central WI) and long winter weather lasting well into April, are signs the Polar Circulation is falling apart. The cold used to self-contain itself, but as warm air displaces cold on the polar caps it has to go somewhere.
