Gov. Tony Evers signs bipartisan bills in Oshkosh for emergency services, vaccines, 911
OSHKOSH - Gov. Tony Evers signed three bills related to emergency services and vaccines Tuesday afternoon at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh.
The health care-related bills are a bipartisan effort in the legislature to improve access to health care, which Evers said he appreciated.
"All three of these bills these bills will improve health, wellness and safety in communities," Evers said.
Here's what the bills, now laws, will do:
Pharmacists can administer vaccines
Assembly Bill 137 allows pharmacists to administer vaccines if they complete a 12-hour course, as long as it's approved by the Council for Pharmacy Education. Pharmacists will also be able to administer vaccines to children under 6, with a prescription from a physician.
