No need for Canadian Energy Strategy, federal minister says

EDMONTON - The Redford government will continue to press for a Canadian Energy Strategy despite clear signals Tuesday the federal government doesn’t support the plan.
Federal Natural Resources Minister Joe Oliver said Tuesday that Premier Alison Redford’s national strategy is redundant and unnecessary, tacitly aligning the federal government with Alberta’s opposition Wildrose party.

Wildrose energy critic Jason Hale said he is pleased the federal government agrees with his party’s position.

“We are of the same mindset,” Hale said. “A misguided strategy like this leaves the door wide open to provinces that oppose Alberta’s energy sector to have more of a say over our resources.

Nobody wants it. And its a huge topic of conversation. Its a rallying point, there are lots of us willing to go north and blockade. I grew up in the area they want to despoil and still consider it home, I've already informed my Mr and my work that I will be up there in front of the bulldozers if it comes to that.

Harper and enbridge can just go suck eggs.

every one I know detests the white faced wig headed lying sonuvabitch (the mr's words for him), but then nobody admits to voting for him either. And bear in mind that he got a majority with only 38% of the popular vote and how many votes for other parties were headed off by the cons underhanded robocalls. Harper takes ideas from the worst of the American system, I'm sure if he could bring in the voting machines he would.
