Mike Duffy Senate scandal inches closer to Stephen Harper: Walkom

We don’t know the answers to those questions. We do know that Duffy did continue to talk to the media

Which means that Wright, as well as anyone else involved in making the payment, may also be criminally liable

Finally, in a seemingly unrelated development, we know that Marjory LeBreton, the government leader in the Senate, has resigned from cabinet and Harper doesn’t plan to replace her.

But LeBreton is a shrewd political survivor who, while intensely loyal to the Conservative Party, has in the past been quietly but harshly critical of the man now its leader.

Not necessarily, and Harper is uncommon. PDJane Jul 2013 #6
He seems like a GWB wannabe. I am not surprised he might run again. hrmjustin Jul 2013 #8

Would his party be able to hold on to power? hrmjustin Jul 2013 #5
I wouldn't think, no, unless the left won't work together. PDJane Jul 2013 #7
That is a big issue. Harper won a majority of seats with 40% of the vote. hrmjustin Jul 2013 #9

He doesn't hear the rumblings. He doesn't care how many people dislike him, he figures that the US right can do it, so can he. He is also sure that the tar sands money will help him.

Among other things, he's very religious, bigoted and misogynist.......he's hidden a lot to get into power, and I don't think he will easily give up that power. He also engaged in fraud during the last election. Will he quit? In spite of the logic of such a move, I don't think so.

Good question. He doesn't exactly have the question yet. Two young kids. He is beginning to see life. He doesn't know which end is up at the moment!
