A bit of a chuckle

(WARNING: HARSH LANGUAGE) CBC listener rants about the weather.

http://www.cbc.ca/player/News/Canada/Saskatchewan/ID/2607873495/

I can empathize with this guy - they do that here in Alberta too. "Oh it's going to be SO nice this weekend...which will result in freezing rain and high wind" BTW, I love Saskatchewan...wish I lived there (would in a heartbeat if I could - joint custody prevents me from moving) so I don't agree with the part of Sask being the *bleep* of the world. But I did get a giggle over his being so colourful about his disgust He's right...-30 and no wind is sometimes easier to deal with (although my vehicle wouldn't agree).

Just like the "Sheila" he thought he was leaving a message for. When 'she' first arrived(from Toronto) to anchor the CBC morning show the weather was all she could talk about. Their lives aren't working out well so they blame the weather. I finally had to stop listening, first to the morning show and eventually the CBC.

Saskatchewan is so much more than the weather. However, if we spend any more time being governed by Free-Market Conservatives, the 'weather' may turn out to be our defining characteristic. We will no longer be the proud North American birthplace of socialized medicine or publicly owned utility corporations. We have gone from the first functioning social democracy in NA to being an energy cache for the oil and nuclear industries.

The CBC and this moron on the phone would like everybody to believe that weather matters....

Some people talk about the weather; we don't.
