Related: About this forumTwo reasons I'm tentatively hoping Johnson beats May
1) I think the commitment to leave the EU would be much easier to walk back for a repentant Brexiter than a Remainer ignoring the fact that they just lost, and I find the theory that Johnson never actually intended Brexit to win, while far from certain, plausible.
2) If the catastrophe continues to unfold as I fear, I think that being tarred with the Brexit brush will make him easier for a post-Corbyn Labour to defeat in the next election (especially if it comes soon) than someone who backed remain would be.
Far from sure I'm right on either count, though.

the Tories splinter, there is unlikely to be a new election before 2020.

I'm tentatively hoping for a timely meteor strike.
But if it happens, I never said that, OK?

And Facebook suggested for me a site called 'ItsGotToBeGove', which indicates that, even if they're spying on my searches, posts, etc,, they're not doing it very effectively!
