At least his outburst is said to have had one good effect: Andrew Percy had been suffering from back trouble, but miraculously improved after Joyce shoved him against the wall. Now that's what I call rough physiotherapy!

I can tell you from personal experience that Pickles shits his pants if he sees somebody in a Sheffield Wednesday beanie hat.

Anyone spooked by a hat with a rudimentary picture of an Owl on it is not going to be of any use in a bar room brawl situation.

He's said he won't stand again in the 2015 general election. That election will be dominated in Scotland by the result of the 2014 independence referendum, I'd think.
