he could have made the journey from London in about 90 minutes and had a couple of beers along with some "moron of the people" photo ops of him hobnobbing with fellow passengers.

But then he's an elitist snob under that barfly bore veneer, in reality scared of contact with real people unless they're sycophants, and I expect he and his minders would have traveled first class, much to the relief of most folks heading west.
