Jon Tester (D-MT) as the 2020 Democratic Vice Presidential Nominee.

Jon Tester(D-MT) is the most progressive solid Trump-R State Democratic US Senator.
Tester(D-MT) is strongly favored to win re-election in 2018 to his MT US Senate Seat.
Tester(D-MT) can help Democrats win the 2020 MT US Senate Race-seat currently held by Steve Daines-R/Steve Bullock-D will be the Democratic Nominee of the 2020 MT US Senate Race and the 2020 MT Governors Race-Democratic nominee will be either Brian Schweitzer or Mike Cooney. A Democrat can be appointed to Tester's US Senate seat in 2021.

Many Repubs won’t believe anyone with that haircut will vote to confiscate guns or legalize dancing.

something went wrong with an issue that's very personally important to him and, of course, his constituents. When that critical line has been crossed, he doesn't mince words... he doesn't stutter. He doesn't tiptoe through the tulips; he comes out with guns blazing. He makes you listen (not unlike Obama). I love that about him and he'd have my vote in either position on a ticket.

for re-election in 2018 to oppose the budget deal?
Tester-D was one of the 19 US Senators to vote NO. Tester's rational was the budget deal did not include any funding for community health centers and border security.
