What is an "easy" password manager to use?

And I really do need easy. For some reason these programs baffle me.

I am getting stuff I need downloaded on my Windows 7 computer, switching from Vista on the older one.

On Vista I have been using KeePass, free version, with no problems at all. I downloaded it today on the Win 7, and I can not get it to work..

Does anyone use Last Pass or have an idea of one I might use that is fairly easy? I thought KeePass was easy, but it is not working for me now. Can't get past the master password without an error message.

Sounds like it can be used like KeePass, just to store the passwords. madfloridian Feb 2014 #2

I don't want a program that forces me to use it to access my files. I just want to store them.

I am banging my head trying to figure why KeePass works on Vista and not Win 7, when it is said to be compatible with both.

I guess I will try Last Pass and do what you do...not input the credit card info.

Thanks.

Works great as a memory jogger, or you can copy and paste from it.

I have them written down in various places, but it is too time-consuming to find them when I need them. Thanks for the tip.

Here's the link: http://passwordsafe.sourceforge.net/

I finally had to get some software because I had so many passwords. It's ridiculous. I keep a backup copy on my external hard drive and on a flash drive.

I'd like to ask if anyone knows of one that also comes with a phone app.
I'm wondering if there is one you install on your computers but can also share with your phone?!?

Not sure if that makes sense, I hope it does.

that holds my secret stuff. It's "saved my life" a number of times. Even once when a new computer was locked and I forgot the password, I got to the file from my phone and all was good.

Dropbox, Evernote, Onedrive... any or all of them should work. Common sense say don't save a file up there called "My Passwords.txt" but it should be safe from prying eyes.
